Models swapped the catwalk for the gym at the show from Stella McCartney for Adidas at London Fashion Week.

McCartney turned the empty hall into a health club while gymnasts performed somersaults off trampolines, balanced on beams and ran on treadmills.

The show gave Fashion Week a much needed energy boost while a usually sedate crowd revelled in the entertainment.

Two Olympic gold medallists - U.S. track star Allyson Felix and British cyclist Victoria Pendleton – performed in the show.

Vegetarian McCartney's eco-friendly collection of clothing for sports such as golf, tennis, swimming and yoga was a totally leather and fur free zone.
