American Idol Judge Randy Jackson is releasing his first solo album in March and will feature fellow judge Paula Abdul on one of the tracks.

It seems watching the contestants do well in the charts has given Jackson the buzz to follow in their footsteps.

Abdul, who hasn’t released a song herself for almost a decade, will sing with Jackson on the track ‘Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow.’

The well respected music executive is also teaming up with Joss Stone, Mariah Carey and an Idol runner up from 2006 – Katharing McPhee.

“I’m really pleased that a bunch of wonderful, talented people showed up,” Jackson said, “I’m really blessed by the way it all came together.”

Jackson started as a bass player touring with seventies' rock band Journey before working with many well-known artists such as Mariah Carey and Madonna playing bass on 'Like a Prayer.'

He spent four years as head of A&R (Artists and Repertoire) at MCA Records before acting as vice president of A&R at Columbia Records.
