This week we head down to the Purple Bar at the upmarket Sanderson hotel for one of their famous Martinis.

The bar itself is a dimly lit blend of purples, violets and lavenders. Chic and intimate, it's a wonderfully atmospheric location for a date or gathering.

But it's not just the décor which is noteworthy, but their cocktails are among some of the best in London; something our production crew can (hic) vouch for!

In this video Purple Bar's Giuseppe Gallo shows us how to make their Apple and Mint Martini.

Ingredients:

50 mls Appleton rum - infused with mint leaves
20 mls Apple Shnapps
1 teaspoon Demerera sugar
Juice of 1 fresh lime
4 leaves of fresh mint
Green apple to garnish

Method:

Place all ingredients into a cocktail shaker, shake and double strain into a large martini glass. Garnish with a slice of green apple and a mint sprig.
