John Galliano's Africa inspired Spring/Summer 2009 collection for Dior at Paris Fashion Week saw models become goddesses for the show walking tall with head dresses and six-inch heels.

Super-short dresses in bright orange, fuschia and yellow swayed sexily in sheer chiffon spelling a continuation of the see-through trend and a return for bold statement colours.

We fell for a halterneck puthonskin bustier (pictured) which epitomised the exotic influences which inspired British designer Galliano.

Leggings made a welcome return to the catwalks but instead of being teamed with floaty tops were accompanied by corsets leaving little to the imagination.

The burlesque-style outfits were welcomed by celebrity fans such as Dita Von Teese who was sitting in the front row.
