X-Factor?

With the X Factor live shows ready to kick off again, last year's winner Leon Jackson is ready to hit the shops with his first single since last Christmas's When You Believe.

Like Leona, Leon avoided quickly releasing an album of covers straight away and rather took the time out to perfect his sound and work with some big names before sharing his new album with the world.

So, now it's crunch time. How does the X Factor winner's song fare out in the big real world?

The Michael Buble soundalike's new song starts off sounding very much like, well, Michael Buble but then a poppy chorus takes the jazzy crooner back into the mainstream to make a pretty radio friendly tune.

Although not immediately memorable the song is a grower and bound to be a hit with mums and daughters while the new grown-up image won't be losing Leon any fans.

There's no doubting that Jackson has a very pleasant voice. But when we first heard Leona's new song we knew immediately it was Leona. Leon's first single doesn't scream individuality or any real X-Factor but then maybe that will come with time.

Leon will perform the new song on Saturday's live show and the single is out on Monday.
